Glam Africa is a UK-based dynamic media publication and online platform that connects readers with the latest Africa-focused style and beauty trends.
When the platform was looking to increase awareness about its presence in Nigeria, we were the agency of choice entrusted with this task.
The publication founder sought ways to reward its current magazine subscribers, and incentivize people to subscribe to the magazine. With this goal in mind, the client sought to have a brand partnership with a beauty brand in which every magazine subscriber would receive a beauty box filled with beauty essentials. Euphorique PR leveraged its extensive network of beauty brand executives, and secured a mutually beneficial partnership with Sleek Studio.
To publicize the Glam Africa x Sleek Studio partnership, as well as the new magazine edition that would kick off the beauty box program, we sent press releases to all the major online publications, securing widespread earned media features, and also carried out media buying for paid media placements.
In addition, we planned and executed an event at Oriental Hotel Lagos, which was aimed at publicizing the partnership. Numerous celebrities and influencers attended the event, as a result of our influencer relations and guest list management services.
Regarding sales, we identified numerous stores and beauty-related service venues throughout Lagos and pitched the idea of stocking the magazines at the locations. We got a variety of locations to come on board, and handled distribution of the magazines to them.
During the planning phases of the “Africa Rising” edition of the magazine, we secured former Big Brother “Double Wahala” Nigeria housemates for the cover of the beauty insert section of the magazine, and also coordinated the photo shoot for the cover.
Also, we identified various entertainment, beauty, and fashion events, secured media partnerships with the organizers, and secured promotional stands for Glam Africa at each event. We also mobilized influencers for Instagram page takeovers for some of the events, to further amplify brand awareness about Glam Africa.
