We provided Brand Positioning, PR and Marketing Communications consulting services to Nigerian tech startup, Uniccon Group, for several tech projects, including, Africa’s first humanoid robot, Omeife – a  6-foot-tall female, African humanoid that provides language as a service for businesses needing to integrate native African audiences.

The company’s goal was to garner publicity for the project in order to attract strategic partnerships, funding, and press coverage from local and international media – vital elements needed to support completion of the project.

We secured earned media coverage in local and international press, with an estimated reach of 20 million+ as news about the robot went viral.

In addition, the services provided were instrumental to the vice-president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo and the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, publicly endorsing the project, leading to lucrative partnerships for funding with the Canadian Trade Commission, and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uniccon Group for partnership, pledging research and support and funding for the Omeife project, as a means of achieving the federal government’s goal of achieving 95% digital literacy rate in Nigeria by 2030.
